Dr. Engr Taj Ali Khan
Position: Ph.D.
Dr. Taj is a meritorious professor at UET Peshawar. He has over 35 years of field and academia. He has successfully supervised Three Ph.D. scholars. He has published a number of national and international research papers. Twice, he remained a member of governing body, PEC.
He has sound knowledge of all leading computer languages: FORTRAN, Pascal, C and C++, QBASIC, Visual BASIC, etc.

Engr. Tariq Khalil
Position: Ph.D.
Engr. Tariq has more than 20 years of experience in the field of Biological and Agricultural Engineering and got opportunities to work in different renowned organizations. He started his career with the Water Resources Research Institute of National Agricultural Research Center (WRRI-NARC Isbd), after completion of his on-the-job training, he joined an irrigation company in Lahore.
He worked with NESPAK (Water Resources and Ag Div) on irrigation infrastructure rehabilitation projects including the NPIW and Gomal Zam Dam Command Area Project. He also has the privilege of working with the MINFA Government of Pakistan as a monitoring officer for a short period of time.
Before joining Washington State University, he worked with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO-UN) Pakistan Country Office as Irrigation Engineer. Currently, he is working as Manager University-Industry Linkages at the University of Engineering and Technology. Dr. Tariq Khalil’s research work is focused on food security, water resources management, and a sustainable ecosystem, and welcomes any research collaboration for sustainable food production.

Engr. Muhammad Ajmal
Position: Ph.D.
Dr. Ajmal, University Gold Medalist, completed his Ph.D. studies in 2015 at Hanyang University, South Korea in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. Earlier he graduated from UET Peshawar in 2004.
Presently serving as Asst. Prof at UET Peshawar since 2005. He has a number of national and international research papers to his credit. He is on a panel of the Pakistan Engineering Council as a resource person for CPD Courses.

Engr. Shahid Mahmood
Position: M.Sc.
Engr. Shahid, is an Agricultural Engineer, with field experience in Water management and irrigation scheduling of over 30 years. He has the privilege of working across KPK, including northern areas.
During his career, he served as a field engineer, Swabi SCARP, consultant, and water management officer. Nowadays he is serving in On Farm Water Management as District Officer.

Mr. Jawad Qadir
Position: M.Sc. Horticulture
MSc in Horticulture from UAF, Pakistan in the Year 2000. Versatile experience in different fields of agriculture has added a unique flavor to his professionalism. he started his career in Bayer DAS, followed by his responsibilities in Mango research station, Shujabad as Assistant Research officer.
Later he joined Gulf Palms, Kuwait, where he got experience in high-efficiency irrigation systems alongside his major field of horticulture. after that, he worked in different private sector industries, and ultimately he joined Etihad Town, Lahore as GM, Horticulture, after he worked as Manager Horticulture in PAMCO.
It’s now over 22 years of field experience blended with strong academic background, Mr. Jawad is an assistant for WETRC.

Engr. Muhammad Nasir Jamal (Director, WETRC)
Position: M.Sc. - Gold Medalist
He is a Professional Engineer with the Pakistan Engineering Council and a member of, the Institute of Engineers, Pakistan. He is PEV at PEC. He is a member of the Industrial Advisory Board for Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi. He is appointed as a Judge for judging the National Idea Bank (NIB) Competition 2021; NIB is an initiative of the President of Pakistan.
He served in World Bank Assisted Project, “Punjab Irrigated Agriculture Productivity Improvement Project (PIPIP)” and Provincial Project “Promotion of High-Value Agriculture through Provision of Climate Smart Technology Project”, First as a Consultant and then as a Supply and Services Company for installation of Solar Operated High-Efficiency Irrigation Systems.
He has four research publications as well on different areas of water resources, especially Drip Irrigation Systems. During his tenure as a consultant in the above-stated project, he has set minimum required standards for local manufacturing of Sand Media Filters and Hydro cyclone filters duly approved by the Project Manager (Project Consultant) and Director General, Agriculture (WM), Punjab.
He is on the resource person panel of Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations, Italy, Swiss HELVETAS, UET Peshawar, Water Management Training Institute, Lahore, and Federal Water Management Cell, Islamabad, OFWM KPK, Punjab and Sindh.

Engr. Khurram Sheraz

Dr. Khurram completed his Ph.D. studies in 2021 from UET Peshawar. Earlier soon after his graduation in 2005, he joined NARC, followed by rendering his services to on-farm water management, KPK. Nowadays he is serving as Asst. Prof at UET Peshawar. He is HEC certified trainer.

Engr. Dr. Qazi Samiullah
Position: Ph.D.
Started his professional career as Junior Structural Engineer in NESPAK Pvt ltd, after graduating from the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar in 2006. He has sixteen years of work experience in well-reputed National and International organizations that includes Universities, Public Research labs, Industrial R&D, and Consultancy firms. He did his master’s and Ph.D. from INSA Lyon France.
He has done extensive research work on the strengthening of reinforced concrete structural members with fiber-reinforced polymers. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the CIVIL Engineering Department of the University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar and is also the CEO of JK Consultants (Structure Design Firm).
He has designed numerous structures that include high-rise structures and Bridges. He has strengthened numerous weak public and private structures and therefore played a pivotal role in reducing the overall reconstruction cost. He has also worked as a master trainee for training engineers and technicians on how to construct confined masonry structures under the UN-HABITAT program.

Dr. Engr. Ali Ajaz
Position: Ph.D.
Dr. Ali completed his Ph.D. from America in 2020 in Bio System and Agricultural Engineering. He has video training development for state-wide on-farm water conservation under Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Irrigation system evaluation and training visits were conducted in Oklahoma. Soil moisture sensors and canopy temperature sensors training for growers in the center pivot and subsurface drip (SDI) irrigated farms in Oklahoma.
Technical training on the design of high-efficiency irrigation systems for row crops, Orchards, and Field Crops at Water Management Training Institute, Lahore, Pakistan. Hands-on training on the use of TDR meters for soil moisture measurements.
